JAM offers all students the opportunity to further their musicianship, gain technical ability, performance skills and confidence through tutoring the AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) syllabus.

AMEB NSW has been supporting music students with quality assessment of their music studies for over 100 years. AMEB NSW is constituted under the agency of the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) and AMEB credentials are recognised professionally world-wide.

Exams are held twice a year for ALL instruments being studied at JAM including voice and no matter your age or level of ability, there is an AMEB exam that is right for you. We recommend students and/or parents consult their tutor about the level and style of exam that could be undertaken along with what is needed to prepare for the exam.

"I sat AMEB exams from age 9 and I recommend all JAM students sit at least one AMEB exam each year. It provides students with a structured learning environment and helps improve confidence and ability on their instrument. Students undertaking AMEB examinations also become vital members of the ensembles they play in..."
