Jeffries Academy of Music (JAM) provides expert private, semi-private, and group music tuition for students of all ages and abilities. Our mission is simple: to deliver proper music education — taught by professional, qualified musicians who live and breathe their craft.

Founded by respected musicians and educators Nic Jeffries and Michael Walder, JAM brings together a faculty of over fifteen highly experienced tutors offering lessons in drums, percussion, double bass, bass guitar, guitar, flute, saxophone, voice, trumpet, clarinet, trombone, euphonium, french horn, and piano.

At JAM, our philosophy is motivation through inspiration — but not through empty hype or quick wins. We believe students deserve teachers who truly inspire them through their expertise, passion, and example. Every tutor at JAM is an active performer, composer, or educator — the kind of teacher who “walks the talk” and understands what real musicianship requires.
