About

Nic and Skye Jeffries, directors of JAM

“For us, music is magic – it has helped us bring joy to audiences across Australia and the world and now we want to share our passion and love for all things musical with our students. Come and JAM with us and enjoy all the richness that a life with music has to offer.” Nic and Skye Jeffries

Popular musicians, Nic and Skye Jeffries, have combined their passion for music and their experience as music educators to open JAM - the Jeffries Academy of Music in Killarney Heights.

JAM offers dynamic private and group music tuition to support the growth and development of musicians of all ages across the northern beaches.

Nic Jeffries has wowed audiences for over 10 years as a performer on the Australian and international music scene playing with jazz greats including James Morrison and Renee Geyer. He has appeared on Channel 9’s The Voice, plays live gigs across Sydney almost every week and is known for his big heart, big smile and extraordinary music abilities including saxophone, voice, song-writing and piano. Since 2011, he has been conducting school bands in the Forest/Killarney area while also providing private vocal and instrumental tuition.

Skye Jeffries is one of Australia’s finest vocalists. Also appearing on Channel 9's The Voice, Skye spent many years singing for the enjoyment of audiences across Australia. She has performed alongside some of the greatest names in the entertainment business including Kate Cebrano, Guy Sebastian and Todd McKenney to name but a few. Tutoring in singing for more than ten years now, Skye has a natural ability to teach young vocalists and help them explore and develop their individual vocal qualities. She has worked with singers of all ages and has become a sought after vocal teacher known for her gentle and supportive approach that helps bring out the best in every student.

Nic and Skye personally interview and select every JAM tutor. They also oversee the development of every JAM student by working closely with tutors to help them tailor lessons to help students achieve their goals.
